Review| Scotty's Yankee Farmer

Fall is my favorite time of year and there is nothing that signifies it more than experiencing all the bounty that it offers. I recently took a trip up to East Lyme CT to visit a 125 acre family owned and operated farm called SCOTT'S YANKEE FARMER. to check out their bounty of seasonal bounty which consists of: Pick your own apples, berries and pumpkins as well as peppers, squash and more or you can just visit the market and purchase what has already been picked throughout the farm. 

The main attraction is by far their Rain forest Adventure Corn Maze!! (See video below)

                                  

  Your picking journey begins with a wagon ride to the field. It was really neat that we were able to get the horses transporting us to the corn maze and the tractor on the way  back heading to the pumpkin patch. It was such a beautiful Fall day and you really got to take in all of the sights and sounds of the farm.We stopped at the maze first to begin our adventure!!

When you arrive at the maze you are provided with an an itinerary and clues to each picture station. When you arrive at the story boards you are given answers to the word game provided and rubbings to reveal 4 animals the maze is made up after.

When you finally get to the end there is a Maize-O-Vision Station to show you where you are. 

                                   

After our Corn Maze we arrived at the Pumpkin Patch area where we traded our horse and buggy for a tractor ride back to the orchard where we began our picking!! The trees are plentiful and we had a blast grabbing the largest apples we could find. While we were waiting to pay for our bounty we took some fun shots while enjoying a fresh picked apple!! All in all we had a great time, the weather was right and the apples were ripe for the picking, We also got to sample one of the best cider donuts I have ever tasted this side of the state.
